Spotkałam się z sytuacją, gdy zaczynałam pracę w handlu, że przyszedł klient po masło. Wtedy małe masło 100 g kosztowało ok. 1,5 zł. Dany klient zapytał mnie przy kasie czy mogę przekroić na pół. Gdyby była to osoba starsza, pomyślałabym, że może kiedyś się tak robiło. No ale był to młody chłopak co mnie bardzo zdziwiło. Nie wiedziałam czy się śmiać czy płakać. I nie wiedziałam czy mam przekroić i drugą połówkę wziąć sobie czy pozostawić do sprzedaży. Praca w sklepie wiąże się z kontaktem z wieloma osobami o różnych charakterach czy przyzwyczajeniach. Trzeba też sprostać wielu wyzwaniom. Myślę, że najgorsze dla sprzedawcy jest to jak przyjdzie stały klient, który zwykle robi duże zakupy, i jest nietrzeźwy. W takim przypadku trzeba mu odmówić zakupu alkoholu. Jest to trudne, ponieważ takim jednym ruchem może stracić dobrego klienta. Z drugiej strony można stracić koncesję. Jest to kwestia charakteru i podejścia do sprawy. Mam nadzieję, że większość detalistów jest odpowiedzialna i tak jak ja umie powiedzieć nie. Też dużo razy powiedziałam nie i okazuje się, że klienci nadal przychodzili, a nawet czasami potrafili przyjść następnego dnia i dziękowali, a niekiedy nawet ich żony.
