Firma GFK przeprowadziła badania, dotyczące zakupów Polaków. Wyniki badań wskazują, że w związku z kryzysem nastąpiły znaczące zmiany w zwyczajach konsumentów. Wzrosła liczba osób, robiących zakupy w sieciach dyskontowych, szczególnie tych najtańszych.

Obecna sytuacja gospodarcza powoduje, że Polacy zaczęli ograniczać wydatki na jedzenie. Tym samym ograniczyli zakupy w sklepach osiedlowych, gdzie ceny są dużo wyższe niż super i hipermarketach.
