29 września w Centrum Wystawienniczo-Kongresowym w Jasionce odbyła się dziesiąta, jubileuszowa gala Złotej Setki Firm Podkarpacia. Wśród zaproszonych gości byli prezesi, dyrektorzy oraz członkowie zarządu największych firm z regionu płd-wsch Polski, a wśród nich prezes GK Specjał, który odebrał statuetkę dla lidera na liście 10 największych przedsiębiorstw Podkarpacia wg wielkości zatrudnienia w 2016 r.
Tegoroczną dziesiątą edycję rankingu „Złota Setka” Firm Podkarpacia zorganizowane zostały przy współudziale naukowo-badawczym Małopolskiego Instytutu Gospodarczego. To właśnie eksperci z tej instytucji pomogli w opracowaniu poszczególnych list. Bo oprócz listy podstawowej, powstały także tzw. Złote Dziesiątki. To zestawienia dziesięciu najlepszych firm, np. według rentowności, zysku, dynamiki sprzedaży, skali eksportu i udziału eksportu w sprzedaży czy zatrudnienia. Pierwsze miejsce w ostatniej z wymienionych kategorii Złotych Dziesiątek - wielkość zatrudnienia - zajął SPECJAŁ  z wynikiem 3835 osób zatrudnionych w 2016 roku.

W rankingu głównym Złota Setka 2016 największych firm regionu, w Specjał uplasował się na bardzo wysokiej czwartej pozycji.
