Uproszczenia zostały wprowadzone w wyniku konsultacji podatkowych, przeprowadzonych z przedsiębiorcami. Polegają na ograniczeniu liczby obowiązkowych pól do wypełnienia, m.in. w części dotyczącej danych adresowych podmiotu, który składa JPK_VAT. Uporządkowane zostanie też oznaczanie kolejnych plików, które przesyła się za ten sam okres. I tak pierwszy JPK_VAT składany za dany okres, według nowej struktury w polu „cel złożenia" będzie zawierać oznaczenie „0". Pierwsza korekta będzie mieć oznaczenie „1", a następne – będą kolejno numerowane. Nie będzie przy tym możliwe przesłanie JPK_VAT, oznaczonych jako 0, 1, 2 itp., więcej niż jeden raz za dany okres (co wcześniej mogło się zdarzyć).
Łatwiejszy kontakt z administracją skarbową

1 stycznia 2018 r. w strukturze JPK_VAT pojawi się też dodatkowe, nieobowiązkowe pole „adres e-mail" w danych nagłówkowych.

To również wyjście naprzeciw oczekiwaniom przedsiębiorców. Ułatwi to szybki kontakt z podatnikiem, kiedy administracja skarbowa znajdzie niezgodności w złożonym JPK_VAT. Wysłanie powiadomienia pozwoli przedsiębiorcom na korektę rozliczenia bez konsekwencji oraz bez potrzeby bezpośredniej wizyty w urzędzie skarbowym.
