Stoczek Łukowski, gdzie mam sklep i warszawskie hurtownie, w których robię zakupy, dzieli niemal 100 km. Dwa bądź trzy razy w tygodniu pokonuję tę trasę, by zapewnić klientom tańsze i lepsze produkty. Pozwala mi to zaoferować o 4%, a czasem o 6% niższą cenę. Czy się opłaca? Dla mnie tak, bo klienci są wierni. A że jest daleko, to nic. Wyjeżdżam o godzinie 12, a wracam o 22, bo oprócz kilku godzin w drodze, muszę towar wybrać i zapakować. Potem jeszcze trzeba go wyłożyć na półki w magazynie i w samym sklepie. Pomimo wydatków na paliwo i czasu jaki na to poświęcam widzę, że daje to efekt. Ja jestem zadowolony, że mam pracę, a klienci – że mają świeży produkt wysokiej jakości i to taniej niż u konkurencji. Taki tryb pracy jest lepszy od marazmu i sytuacji, kiedy nic się nie dzieje. Jak to się mówi: coś za coś.
