Niekorzystne warunki pogodowe, jakie były w minionym tygodniu znacznie zaszkodziły polom  uprawnym truskawek.  

Burze i gwałtowne deszcze uszkodziły owoce, dodatkowo stojąca woda na polach powoduje gnicie truskawek. Rolnicy już od początku sezonu mieli prawo do obaw, gdyż zeszłoroczne zbiory były bardzo obfite, więc zakłady produkcyjne mają jeszcze zapasy z poprzedniego sezonu, a to zmniejsza obecne zapotrzebowanie.

Opady z poprzedniego tygodnia sprawiły, że ceny truskawek zostały nieco podniesione, aby rolnicy mogli nadrobić poniesione straty. Aktualnie średnia cena za łubiankę wynosi 5 złotych.
