Wsparcie Honorowego Krwiodawstwa przez Tesco jest odpowiedzią na apel Regionalnych Centrów Krwiodawstwa, które w okresie wakacji borykają się z problemem niedoboru krwi w szpitalach. Sieć planuje sto zbiórek.
Tesco podjęło współpracę z 21 Centrami Krwiodawstwa i Krwiolecznictwa na terenie całego kraju. Krew będzie pobierana przez pracowników Centrów Krwiodawstwa z użyciem specjalnych ambulansów lub w specjalistycznych namiotach. Sieć planuje 100 zbiórek, przy swoich sklepach. Celem jest zebranie co najmniej 100 litrów krwi.

Akcja trwa od 13 czerwca do końca października. Przez cały ten czas Tesco będzie promować ideę Honorowego Krwiodawstwa we wszystkich 300 sklepach, wskazując klientom adres najbliższego Punktu Krwiodawstwa i zachęcając do oddania krwi komunikatami w sklepie.
