We wrześniu 2018 roku minęło 5 lat istnienia firmy Velvet CARE. Powstała ona w wyniku przejęcia firmy od spółki Kimberly Clark, która w 2013 roku wycofała się z rynku środkowoeuropejskiego. Kapitał początkowy stanowiła marka Velvet, lider rynku papieru toaletowego i chusteczek higienicznych, papiernia w Kluczach, doświadczenie 280 pracowników oraz ambicje i determinacja 4 menedżerów, którzy wraz z funduszem Avallon II MBO postanowili powołać do życia nową firmę – Velvet CARE. To zaś oznaczało powołanie do życia nowych działów w firmie: logistyki, zakupów strategicznych, eksportu i marek własnych. „Zawsze stawialiśmy sobie ambitne cele i to podejście się nie zmienia. W ciągu kolejnych 5 lat chcemy po raz kolejny podwoić nasze obroty, a tym samym wejść do grona firm o przychodach powyżej 1 mld zł i jednocześnie zostać liderem rynku papierowych wyrobów higienicznych w Europie Środkowo-Wschodniej” – deklaruje Artur Pielak, Prezes firmy Velvet CARE.
