Hochland Polska w oparciu o najnowsze wymagania prawne, a także wymagania ze strony klientów, między innymi sieci handlowych, wypracował listę priorytetów dotyczących opakowań zrównoważonych. Przeważająca ilość odpadów plastikowych pochodzi z opakowań. Wśród priorytetów Hochland Polska dotyczących opakowań zrównoważonych znalazły się między innymi: optymalne prowadzenie procesów recyklingu, pomniejszanie wagi i udziału opakowań w produkcie, uzyskanie redukcji emisji CO2, a także edukowanie konsumenta, aby widział sens w segregowaniu i ograniczaniu odpadów. Zespół roboczy złożony z przedstawicieli różnych działów Hochland Polska kontynuuje prace w zakresie zrównoważonych opakowań w Hochland Polska. Docelowo działania w zakresie zrównoważonego rozwoju i opakowań będą elementem strategii sprzedażowej. Konsumenci są coraz bardziej świadomi i zainteresowani źródłem pochodzenia surowców, ale również opakowań.
