Procter & Gamble, lider branży FMCG na świecie, zakończył drugą odsłonę pierwszej edycji programu „Czysta Ziemia”. Jest to wieloletnia inicjatywa będąca częścią strategii zrównoważonego rozwoju firmy. Głównym celem programu jest edukowanie uczniów szkół podstawowych w zakresie zrównoważonej konsumpcji, w szczególności segregacji odpadów, procesu odzyskiwania tworzyw sztucznych oraz dbania o środowisko naturalne. Działania programu realizowane są we współpracy z Fundacją Nasza Ziemia, a zaangażowani wolontariusze z P&G prowadzą zajęcia edukacyjne w szkołach. We współpracy z lokalnymi władzami szkolnymi firma organizuje także akcje sprzątania najbliższej okolicy szkół.
Podczas tegorocznej edycji programu „Czysta Ziemia” uczniowie zebrali śmieci plastikowe, metalowe, szklane, papierowe. Były wśród nich urządzenia elektryczne, takie jak żelazka czy czajniki elektryczne, które nieodpowiednio zutylizowane tworzą realne zagrożenie dla naszego środowiska. Zebrane odpady zostały odpowiednio posegregowane oraz przekazane do recyklingu. Procter & Gamble od dawna wpisuje w swoją strategię działania zmniejszające ślad środowiskowy firmy i jej produktów, a także wpiera konsumentów w zrównoważonej konsumpcji.
