Grupa Polmlek wprowadza nowe produkty w opakowaniach bardziej przyjaznych środowisku. Napoje Nutri Vege i soki Fortuna będą nalewane w kartony w 83% wykonane z surowców pochodzenia roślinnego. Papier używany do produkcji opakowań pochodzi z lasów certyfikowanych FSC. Plastik będący składową kartonu, w tym także zakrętka, również jest pochodzenia roślinnego. Na czym polega różnica? Standardowy plastik jest produkowany z paliw kopalnych, czyli z ropy naftowej, który już na etapie wydobycia powoduje degradację środowiska. Tymczasem w innowacyjnych opakowaniach Tetrapak używany jest tylko plastik z trzciny cukrowej, która rosnąc przyczynia się do redukcji emisji dwutlenku węgla.
