Branża zmaga się z takimi problemami jak ASF czy ptasia grypa, a dodatkowo szkodzą jej luki w procedurach, które mogą skutkować takimi zjawiskami jak tzw. afera leżakowa z początków 2019 roku. To ma wpływ na wizerunek polskiego mięsa, a co za tym idzie także na jego eksport.
