Po przystąpieniu do porozumienia New Plastics Economy Global Commitment w 2019 roku, kierowanej przez Fundację Ellen MacArthur i Program Środowiskowy Organizacji Narodów Zjednoczonych (UNEP), Ferrero została przyjęta w poczet członków Fundacji Ellen MacArthur biorącej udział w inicjatywie New Plastics Economy. Ferrero dołącza do grupy wiodących przedsiębiorstw z całego łańcucha wartości tworzyw sztucznych, które opowiadają się za wspólną wizją gospodarki obiegu zamkniętego tworzyw sztucznych, które nigdy nie stają się odpadem ani zanieczyszczeniem. Przystąpienie organizacji do inicjatywy New Plastics Economy oznacza ważny krok w działaniach podejmowanych przez Ferrero, aby do 2025 roku 100% opakowań nadawało się do ponownego wykorzystania, ponownego przetworzenia lub kompostowania.
Ferrero dołączyła również do 4evergreen – sojuszu firm, który ma na celu zwiększenie udziału opakowań na bazie włókien w zrównoważonej gospodarce obiegu zamkniętego opakowań, która minimalizuje wpływ na klimat i środowisko.
