Po raz czwarty Poznań stał się lekkoatletyczną stolicą Polski. 27 maja odbyła się Czwarta edycja Poznań Athletics Grand Prix. Wydarzenie gościło wielu wybitnych lekkoatletów z Polski i ze świata. Na liście startowej znaleźli się m.in. Piotr Lisek, Pia Skrzyszowska oraz Yohan Blake.
W tym roku program opierał się głównie na konkurencjach biegowych. Zawodniczki startowały również w trójskoku, a panowie wzięli udział w konkursie w skoku o tyczce i rzucie oszczepem. Poznańska publiczność mogła oklaskiwać również występy paralekkoatletów. Po raz drugi rywalizowali oni na Golęcinie w pchnięciu kulą oraz biegu na 100 m. Mityng zakończyły natomiast zmagania amatorów. Członkowie lokalnych teamów biegowych wystartowali w sztafecie 10 x 400 metrów.

Sponsorem wydarzenia był Selgros Cash & Carry, od lat wspierający lokalne i ogólnopolskie wydarzenia sportowe - w ubiegłym roku był to m.in. Bieg Jacka w Siedlcach czy finały Czwartków Lekkoatletycznych w Łodzi.
