Santorini, to grecka wyspa leżąca w archipelagu Cyklad na Morzu Egejskim, odwiedzana chętnie przez turystów z całego świata. Najbardziej znane miejsca, to oczywiście Oia z niebieskimi sklepieniami budynków sakralnych, gdzie można podziwiać cudowne zachody słońca, Fira – stolica wyspy z urokliwym portem, pełna sklepików i restauracji, a także Kamari – turystyczne miasteczko, zlokalizowane w pobliżu lotniska z kamienistymi plażami i tętniącym życiem deptakiem wzdłuż morza.
Santorini – dzięki sprzyjającym warunkom klimatycznym słynie z upraw orzechów pistacjowych, wina, oliwy oraz żółtego grochu, z którego przyrządza się słynne feve, czyli pastę z mielonego żółtego grochu, cebuli, cytryny i oliwy z oliwek. Handel spożywczy na wyspie, to głównie małe i średnie sklepy dla turystów, w których znajdziemy dosłownie cały asortyment, łącznie z figurkami bogów greckich. Nie zabraknie też przypraw, szerokiej gamy alkoholi z Ouzo na czele, oliwy, oliwek, chałwy, baklawy, kataifi i oczywiście obłędnie słodkiego lukumi.
