Projekt „Daj im szansę” ukazuje, jak odpowiedzialne zarządzanie produkcją może łączyć cele środowiskowe z pozytywnym wpływem na postawy konsumenckie.
Wedel odnalazł sposób na zagospodarowanie produktów o niezmienionej jakości smakowej, które – ze względu na drobne defekty wizualne – nie mogłyby trafić do regularnej sprzedaży. Efekty inicjatywy są namacalne – od początku akcji (marzec) „uratowano” ok. 11 ton słodyczy, realizując sprzedaż ponad 27 tys. paczek. W kontekście krajowym, gdzie rocznie marnuje się ok. 5 mln ton żywności, stanowi to istotny wkład w budowanie gospodarki cyrkularnej. Przemyślana strategia cenowa (14,99 zł za 400 g) oraz użycie papierowych opakowań nadających się do recyklingu wzmacniają pozytywny odbiór projektu.
