Kaufland przegrał z UOKiK. Zapłaci 13,2 mln zł kary

Kaufland Polska musi zapłacić 13,2 mln zł kary za wprowadzanie konsumentów w błąd przy oznaczaniu kraju pochodzenia owoców i warzyw. Sąd Apelacyjny utrzymał w mocy decyzję Prezesa UOKiK, a wyrok jest prawomocny.
Sprawa dotyczy postępowania wszczętego przez UOKiK po kontrolach przeprowadzonych w sklepach sieci. Urząd uznał, że informacje o kraju pochodzenia części owoców i warzyw prezentowane na wywieszkach różniły się od danych znajdujących się na opakowaniach zbiorczych, co mogło wprowadzać klientów w błąd.

Sąd Apelacyjny podtrzymał decyzję Prezesa UOKiK oraz karę finansową w wysokości 13,2 mln zł. Oznacza to, że orzeczenie jest prawomocne i kończy wieloletni spór dotyczący oznakowania produktów świeżych w sklepach sieci.
