W dniu 3 stycznia 2010 roku została podpisana ostateczna umowa dotycząca zakupu wybranych składników majątkowych i powstrzymania się od działań konkurencyjnych przez  Piwex  Sp. z o.o. z siedzibą w Lublinie.

Piwex jest przedsiębiorstwem od 20-stu lat zajmującym się dystrybucją alkoholu na terenie województwa lubelskiego. Roczna wartość obrotów przejmowanego podmiotu w 2010 roku jest szacowana na ponad 40 milionów złotych. Dokonanie tej akwizycji znacząco wpłynie na wzrost wartości sprzedaży i poprawę wyników finansowych w 2011 roku. Poprzez przejęcia Waspol umacnia pozycję lidera na rynku dystrybucji piwa w centralnej i północno - wschodniej Polsce. Spółka będzie konsekwentnie rozszerzała skalę i obszar działalności w celu dalszej poprawy wyników finansowych i wzrostu wartości firmy.
