Procter & Gamble konsekwentnie dąży do realizacji swoich celów w zakresie zrównoważonego rozwoju, ogłoszonych w strategii „Ambition 2030”. Jednym z istotnych działań firmy było wdrożenie przyjętych przez GLEC (Global Logistics Emissions Council) wymogów dotyczących monitorowania i raportowania emisji CO2 pochodzącej z transportu. W oparciu o te standardy, do 2030 roku P&G zamierza poprawić wyniki w zakresie emisji gazów cieplarnianych związanych z transportem surowców i produktów w fazie operacyjnej o 50% (w stosunku do danych za rok 2020).
Aby ten cel osiągnąć, Procter & Gamble wykorzysta bardziej efektywne i niskoemisyjne środki transportu (np. transport intermodalny oraz z wykorzystaniem paliw ekologicznych). Koncern dąży też do ciągłego zwiększania współczynnika załadunku pojazdów i optymalizacji procesów swojej sieci dostaw. Współpracuje także z wieloma partnerami – przewoźnikami, detalistami oraz szeroko rozumianą branżą transportową, poszukując unikalnych rozwiązań, które umożliwią dostarczenie produktów firmy w efektywniejszy i bardziej przyjazny dla środowiska sposób.
