„Miniony 2023 rok przyniósł bardzo wysoką inflację i niestabilną sytuację rynkową – myślę, że tak go zapamiętamy. Ceny wielu produktów sprawiały, że Polacy znacznie ograniczali swoje zakupy. Ponadto polska gospodarka w dużym stopniu opierała się na rynku wewnętrznym. Spowodowało to znaczne spowolnienie oraz to, że każdą złotówkę domowego budżetu, wydaną na podstawowe potrzeby, konsumenci byli zmuszeni starannie przemyśleć." - Jan Kolański, Prezes Zarządu, Colian.
„Dla producentów największym zaskoczeniem okazały się rosnące koszty surowców i opakowań. Obecnie widzimy pewną stabilizację, ale galopujące ceny kakao, które osiągają rekordowy poziom, będą dużym zagrożeniem dla branży słodyczowej w 2024 r. Dlatego uważam, że najbliższe miesiące przyniosą nieuniknione podwyżki cen, zwłaszcza produktów czekoladowych. Najbardziej podrożeją tabliczki, praliny i batony. Colian ma w swoim portfolio szeroką ofertę słodyczy, ale w przyszłym roku będzie stawiać na te z niższą zawartością kakao w składzie. W ostatnim czasie wzrosły też znacząco koszty pracy, a zasobów ludzkich jest na rynku coraz mniej. Kieruje to naszą uwagę w stronę jeszcze większej automatyzacji produkcji."
